My name is Jacques.

 

Since 1992 (As an 13 year old boy) I have been an avid collector of rugby cards from all over the world. At the time it was quite challenging to complete sets with a lot of school yard swapping and networking required. With the arrival of the internet I came to realise that it was not really much of a challenge to obtain full sets of commercially released cards as you could easily just purchase these cards. Obviously there will always be old and rare rugby union cards that would be challenging to obtain but there was no dispute that the hobby changed. I noticed a movement amongst collectors of all sports cards to get them signed by the players…a new and exciting challenge!

 

Many years (and with a lot of dedication and help from fellow collectors) I am still going strong. The aim: To build as complete as possible collection of rugby union cards signed by the players themselves.

 

This hobby cannot be done in isolation. I thank my wife for her support and patience. All my fellow collectors, thank you for your help. Very importantly, to the players…thank you for always making time for me. Every addition is but only a privilege.
